Springback visual identity & website
Explore dance. Experience dance.
Springback Magazine immerses you in a world of dance – through the eyes and words of the writer you can experience a powerful performance or be stimulated by a provocative thought piece.
I worked with Springback Magazine to refresh their brand identity and website. They needed a new identity that reflected their ambitious aims of setting the standards of dance journalism. I created this logo monogram that represents both movement and dialogue within the letter ’S’. Through careful consideration and a delicate approach the identity visually balances contemporary dance with more traditional editorial design.
Website design
The structure, functionality and design of the website now needed to change to showcase more immersive articles. Snappy headings, stand-out quotes, a clear narrative, bold imagery and creative multimedia content all helps to create this engaging online magazine.
Springback Annual
A year on after the launch of the brand and website, new subscription packages were introduced for exclusive access to new content. A printed Springback Annual was a key offer for the ‘Plus’ Membership, showcasing featured articles and reviews.
I evolved the brand further whilst designing key sections of the 160-page publication. Page designs were then handed over as InDesign templates, I also provided clear guidelines to help Springback manage and produce further pages in-house.
I worked in collaboration with website Developer Greig Cooke on the visual identity and website and with Springback Magazine editor Sanjoy Roy on the Annual publication design.
